Why on Earth would I decide to start a blog and why might you want to read it? Well, after my last gig at a startup (with those lovely 100 hour startup work weeks) and my advancing age (full disclosure: I’m in my mid 30s), I have developed a serious case of what I like to call swiss cheese memory. Words that were on the tip of my tongue now disappear into the ether. If I’m lucky, they’ll make a comeback (usually after a odd game of verbal connect-the-dots), but sometimes they are lost forever. So the creation of this blog is entirely selfish—to capture and document my memories, opinions, loves, as well as silly random thoughts on people, food, shopping, and of course beauty. Please join me on this archival journey as I try to make sense of my mind. Publications such as Glamour, Vogue, Elle, In Style, Marie Claire, and Beautylish (there’s my resume) have trusted my expertise for over a decade—I hope you will too.
