Good To The Last Drop

I can’t believe it’s already December. Where did the year go? Here are the products I used up this month…

Clear Frizz Control Nourishing Shampoo: I discovered this moisturizing shampoo over the summer and it’s seriously a miracle product when I want to air dry my hair–frizz and flyaways are tamed into gentle waves without weighing down my thin, fine hair and I LOVE the fresh, clean scent.
Wen Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner: I was skeptical of the whole cleansing conditioner movement for years, but this Pomegranate version made me a part-time convert (obviously I’m not totally shampoo-free–see Clear Frizz Control Shampoo). That’s because this formula has a soy protein base, which makes it foam up a little when you massage it into your scalp–not a full, bubbly lather, but it doesn’t just feel like you’re just rubbing conditioner on your scalp either (especially with the menthol tingle). With all-natural ingredients such as sweet almond oil and aloe vera (the second ingredient after water), I know this cleansing conditioner is good for me. That’s why I use it on days when I want to wash my hair, but know I probably shouldn’t (because I’ve been washing it too often or it’s getting dry and damaged). If you don’t think you’re a cleansing conditioner fan, try this Pomegranate one. It just may make you rethink your whole hair care routine.
Lippmann Collection Did I Shave My Legs For This? Ayurvedic Shave Cream: I’m a big fan of Deborah Lippmann’s nail polishes, but this shave cream was one of those disappointments where I had to throw out the bottle before I finished using up the product because it just didn’t work for me. Not sure why, but this shaving cream seemed to go on smooth, then left a waxy residue that clogged my razors and left a white film on my legs that didn’t rinse off (I actually had to scrub my legs with exfoliant to remove all the white stuff). I already dread shaving my legs enough without this additional headache, so sadly this shave cream just had to go.
L’Occitane Delicious Soap With Flaked Almonds: If I had to name one scent as my absolute favorite, I would probably have to say almond (in fact, I’m trying to create an almond-based custom blend perfume right now with Original Scent in Pasadena, CA). I love how a small bar of this exfoliating soap in my shower will scent my whole bathroom with almond perfume. Delicious, is right!
