Having worn a school uniform up until college, I’m very familiar with the status of a little green alligator logo (a solid notch above Polo’s man on horseback). But it was only while researching this piece for Marie Claire that I learned that Lacoste’s iconic mascot is actually a crocodile, not an alligator (which of course led me on a procrastination detour to Google the difference). Side note: Cover Girl invited me to attend the MTV VMA awards with them (their spokesperson Katy Perry was nominated for Best Female Video–and won!!) last night so this was my VMA manicure. Needless to say, this weekend was a dream!
